To our Special People! It’s us the Petals Class, again!
We had our first rainy, RAINY day today! But before we can tell you, we had an exciting day reviewing emotions, classroom rules, and shapes!
In Circle time we got to count our friends who came today. Only 4!
T: 4!
Ka: That’s not so many.
After we reviewed emotions and feelings and got to add 3 more to our list: fine, calm, and excited!
Ka: Surprised
Ko: Angry!
R: Oh no! (Fear)
T: (calm) Om shanti, Om shanti
Ka: Excited!
T: I’m excited~
Ko: Excited
R: I’m fine
Then we played a matching game with the emotions to different things that happen to us~
Teacher: (Shows a present)
T: Happy!
Teacher: (Points to pictures of kids fighting)
Ka: Can be a little bit angry.
We also got to read and listen to Dragons Love Tacos!
Teacher: Did you know?
Ka: Ya. I go to farmers and I see a big dragon.
T: M! N likes spicy!
Ko: (touches book and makes a thinking face)
Teacher: Who likes cheese?
R: I like!
K: Mommy don’t like spicy
R: No! Oh no! No more house!
Last, we played the shapes scavenger hunt game!
R & Ko: Triangle! (found the triangle picture by the book shelf)
T: Square! (found a square by the Dress Up Lagoon)
K: R..r..rectangle! (found the chocolate rectangle by the scuba drivers)
Next was our Rainy Adventures! We are so thankful for our families preparing our rain gear. We got to jump in puddles, dig, make rivers and lakes, and use our sand tools! We loved it! We got a bit wet though but we got to wash off with a warm towel. Thank you, Teacher!
Today’s Friday was so fun we all fell asleep for nap so fast!
This rainy week kept us on our toes! Learning about different emotions with Ravi’s Roar and The Dragons Love Tacos. Playing with different shapes and using gentle hands while we play. We also are starting to identify parts of our faces day by day! Picasso is helping us a lot! We even got to practice a bit for Sports Day! It’s been another fun week at Ohana!
With lots of smiles,
The Petals Class
