Petals Astronauts

Happy Monday,
On the table we were making the Earth and the Moon ready to put on the wall. For the Moon we were using white and grey paint. For the Earth we were sticking lots of blue and green paper. On the other table we were making lots of different shapes out of colored blocks and were chefs in the kitchen.
Today we reviewed everything we did last week. We learned about how the Earth travels around the sun once a year and that means for Petals we have been around the sun three times! We also learned that the moon orbits the Earth one time every month, so 12 times a year. After our discussions we tried to be the moon and we circled around the earth 12 whole times!
Before we started circle time we noticed that Nimo wasn’t here today. Nimo will be in Buds class Monday and Tuesday for Teacher Exchange. In his place is Cameron. Everyone was so curious about Cameron and asked him lots of questions.

T: Five.
E: 6, 12, 13!
L: Seven.
Before we went to the park we read a story about how Astronauts went to the Moon in 1969.
M: Earth.
Y: Moon.
M: Astronaut.

M: its too scary (floating in space)

After we read a story we had Shomas Sports class which we all enjoyed and then went to the park together! It was a great start to the week. Thank you very much for a wonderful day and we will see you tomorrow.!
